MAJOR HIGHLIGHTS OF DAV CHAPTER #13 MEETING ON Mar. 20th 2001

A Proclaimation signed by Stamford mayor Dannel Malloy was received by Chapter Commander Buffert Brooks. The proclaimation stated the dates of the chapter's Forget-Me-Not Drive as the official Forget-Me-Not period.

A request for volunteers was made to help with the chapter's annual Forget-Me-Not Drive, which raises money for veterans service projects. Volunteers are asked to sit a table with Forget-Me-Not flowers displayed and accept the donations for the flowers for a period of one to three hours. Anyone interested in obtaining additional information or wishing to volunteer should either call the Chapter Commander and FGMN Chairman, Buffert Brooks or e-mail Chapter Adjutant/Treasurer Al Meadows al.meadows@snet.net

Preparations for the annual DAV State Convention were made. The convention will be help at the Ramada in Meriden Connecticut on May 4th, 5th and 6th. All chapter members are invited to attend. Meetings will start at 1:00 pm on May 4th. Friday afternnoon meetings will feature several guest speakers from Connecticut Dept. of Veterans Affairs and guest speakers from the Veterans Administration.
